Where Honesty Never Ends.
Greetings everyone! The Review Board here.
It is about that time where each Board Member sits back and reflects on one’s reads. This year, each member was asked to share what one considered the #best, what one considered the #worst, and what was honorable mention.
This time, we check to see what Harmony Kent has to say.
Read Worth Raving About #Best
Overload Flux by Carol Van Natta. Although in need of polishing to remove passive writing, this is the most engaging book I read in 2015 for TRB. The plot, pacing, character development, and world building were done well, and I thoroughly enjoyed the book. It got 8 out of 10 stars from me.
What the Hell is This? #Worst
Zox: School of Gods by B.E. Cullen. This book had me tearing my hair out … for a long time, as it was a long read. I nearly developed a book phobia, which for a reading addict is saying something. It got 1 out of 10 stars from me.
On the Fence #honorablemention
Where Tomorrow Waits by Dina Ka, while being a difficult book to read due to its content (life under the Khmer Rouge), it is nonetheless well done and deserves a mention here. It got 8 out of 10 stars from me.
